Info
This project involved documenting Wide Awake Festival 2025 as part of the documentary To Show All the Beautiful People Are Gone by Misha Maseka, produced through Village Girls, a production company working with the stories and histories of the African diaspora worldwide. The work focused on capturing how diasporic and global musical histories are expressed within contemporary festival spaces. Particular attention was given to the legendary band WITCH (We Intend To Cause Havoc), a pioneering Zamrock band whose sound originates from 1970s Zambia, documenting their performance and presence within a London-based audience context. The project aimed to visually translate the relationship between music, identity, and cultural memory through both live performance and behind-the-scenes moments.
